Every decade signifies itself by showcasing its human evolution and cultural changes spectrum. At times, when the change is seen before the expected milestone, we see ourselves at a place where either we transform ourselves or else we would be left behind in our own life path. Moving from one aspect of life to another for growth and progress can be quite taxing when we swim in the unchartered waters without acceptance and preparation.
When we are in college, we have a very different mindset and perception about the corporate life and its perks. We go with a mindset that we will make a difference and create something new and exciting, but in most of the instances, we end up being a part of an environment full of expectations, pressure and competitiveness.
Each unintentional / influenced decision has its own pros and cons and one feels the need of someone who could guide and walk along so that we prepare ourselves strong and better.
For long, we have been living in the world where Academic Intelligence has always been considered the primary factor for Measuring Success. However, since the past 02 decades, we started exploring the other sides of Human Intelligence and were surprised to encounter that there existed other forms of Intelligence that were playing an important role in our life and its outcomes. It was discovered that our Emotions were playing a vital role in our behavior and were also the key factor in our life achievements. The wise minds shifted their focus from Academic Intelligence to Emotional Intelligence to find answers to the unanswered Human Behavioral Challenges.
We are always told to be practical and are forced to control our emotions. Some of the common notions that we hear from our environment are Being emotional is not good for you. Emotional people are the sufferers in life. The emotions can’t drive your life. Boys don’t cry. Girls shouldn’t cry so loud or in front of the people.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage your own emotions as well as of others in a positive way. It’s the capacity to blend your thinking and feelings to make progressive decisions. Acknowledge and Accept You Emotions = Harmony.
1. Whenever I meet a stranger, there is a feeling of anxiety, fear and so many thoughts and questions run down in my mind
2. What if they think I am stupid or dumb or idiot or immature?
3. What if they feel I’m trying to blend with them or force a conversation?
4. What if they don't like me?
So many thoughts and so many confusions ...
Not being able to communicate with others not only impacts our progress but also results in low self-confidence. When we are in the known environment, we are able to start a conversation much easier as compared to when we are among strangers. Communication is the key to human learning and growth and being able to start it with a positive mindset is the first step. We at Life Essence will work with not only on the conscious level but on the subconscious level in order to transform yourself into a positive, progressive and a happy being.
Communication at times becomes very tricky and can even go out of the box. The wise said, what has already been spoken cannot be taken back and its impact is inevitable. When the context goes wild, it’s like walking on fire and putting all the efforts to defuse it, and yet we burn ourselves on the way. Usually, before starting any communication, a lot of thoughts fog our mind, creating a topsy-turvey jumble of words, some with meaning and most of them without any meaning. Sometimes we feel we should limit our words or there are times when we feel we have spoken less.
Good communication is the foundation of a successful relationship, be it professional or personal, and we are most comfortable when we’re connected, sharing emotions and stories with each other. From one side communication can aid awareness and learning, and from the other, it can lead to creating communities for collective growth and progress.
One might think that not talking to a person verbally means, you have not yet talked with the person, but the truth is that you have communicated with them every time you have seen each other in any scenario, be it any meeting, or occasion or just glancing each other while walking past each other. This is due to the presence of non-verbal cues which are not in your control and they often depict our truest personalities.
